The Science of Energy: From Mitochondria to Movement
In scientific terms, our energy begins in the mitochondria, the tiny organelles within our cells that convert oxygen and nutrients into ATP—the fuel for all cellular activity. When we care for our mitochondria, we amplify our life force from the inside out.
You can nourish your cellular energy by:

🧘♀️ The Subtle Energy Body: The Unseen Dimension
Beyond biology, traditions like Ayurveda and Tantra describe another dimension of human vitality—the subtle energy body. It is the network of energy channels (nadis) and centers (chakras) through which prana, or life force, flows.
When this energy flows freely, we feel balanced, inspired, and connected. When it stagnates—due to stress, trauma, or unresolved emotion—our physical and emotional well-being is affected. When this energy stagnates, it creates an energetic imprint.
So, what are Energy Imprints?
Energy imprints are clusters of old energy—emotional residues that linger in the body or in a place after an intense experience.
They form when an emotion is felt deeply but not fully processed, leaving an energetic “mark” in the tissues or the environment. These imprints can persist for years, subtly shaping our perceptions and relationships.
Many of these imprints are connected to our early experiences, often with the mother or primary caregiver, where our sense of safety and love first developed. These early energetic patterns form the blueprint for how we inhabit our bodies and connect with others.
Releasing and Integrating Through the Body
In my sessions, I support clients in becoming aware of these imprints through a slow, mindful approach that includes:
Body de-armouring – gently softening physical and energetic tension.
Breathwork – expanding the flow of life force through conscious breathing.
Guided meditation – bringing awareness to areas of contraction or emotional residue.
The goal isn’t to erase the past, but to integrate it—allowing the stored energy to move, release, and harmonize. When this happens, the body feels lighter, the mind clearer, and the heart more open. Clients often describe feeling more alive, present, and whole.
