Integrative Bodywork recognizes the body as a structure of interconnected systems and honours its wisdom as a resource to move and realign what feels painful, disconnected, and uncomfortable, often without an apparent cause. This gentle yet profound approach emphasizes interactive communication, slowness, and empathic listening, creating a sense of safety and awareness within the recipient's body. It addresses discomfort on both physical and emotional levels.
The term "Integrative" signifies a comprehensive, inclusive, non-marginalizing, and embracing perspective. In this context, it aligns with the work I offer, incorporating various body-centered methodologies within a coherent framework. The goal is to bring together the diverse pieces of the same puzzle, coherently addressing areas of human well-being interconnected with each other.
The methodologies I work with are Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular, and Somatic Therapy and all are grounded in a few key factors:
Body-mind connection: Being connected to your body is essential for tuning into deeper feelings, especially into your emotional world.
Body wisdom and self-healing ability: Recognizing that embodiment involves leaving the cognitive realm and acknowledging that the body possesses memory, wisdom, and the capacity for self-healing.
Openness and willpower: Having a predisposition to explore yourself through body-centered methods and the determination to change aspects that do not align with your present life.
